You have to be unique and special basketball player to make the National Basketball Association (NBA) when you are under six feet tall. The average NBA player is 6 feet 7 inches tall (www.nba.com/news/survey_height_2007). Most point guards in the NBA are over six feet tall. For example, Steve Nash, Deron Williams, Jason Kidd and Chauncey Billips are all at least 6 feet 3 inches tall. There has still been basketball players in the NBA under 6 feet inches tall. Whom are the greatest basketball players ever under 6 feet tall? #10 Nate Robinson Nate Robinson is 5 feet 9 inches tall. He has elite athleticism. His impressive vertical leap has helped him win three NBA slam dunk contest. He has a 43.5 inch vertical leap. He is the first player in NBA history to win three slam dunk contests. Equally important, he is a good scorer too. The best season of his career was the 2008-09 season. He showed the heart of player is more important than their size. These are the greatest NBA players under 6 feet tall. These basketball players brought their own unique talents to their teams. Their quickness and speed will always be needed in the NBA. These basketball players proved during their careers that the ability of a basketball player is more important than their height.
