Week 12 WR Rankings - Start/Sit Advice. Week 12 WR Rankings are based on the best matchups and highest potential fantasy football point outcomes among all fantasy football WR in Week 12. Use these Week 12 WR Rankings to help you decide which WR to Start and which WR to Sit on your fantasy football team this week. Week 12 - WR Rankings 1. Calvin Johnson - Det = NE Facing the second worst pass defense in the NFL this week in the Patriots, Johnson who easily has developed a solid chemistry with QB Shaun Hill, and is clearly a TD king as he boasts 10 receiving touchdowns already through just 10 games so far this season, should be looking at another rock solid game this week for fantasy football teams. There is little reason to doubt that Johnson will not be pushing stats in the range of 5-10 receptions, 80-125 receiving yards and 1-2 touchdowns. 2. Greg Jennings - GB = @Atl This matchup will not be so much about the pass defense of the Falcons, but rather the pass offense of the Packers. Jennings has evolved into Aaron Rodgers top target, as well as a premiere touchdown option. Tallying at least 6 receptions in the last 5 games, as well as averaging 104 receiving yards and a total of 6 touchdowns over those last 5 games, Jennings has been consistent, reliable, and downright great for fantasy football teams. Right now there is little reason to bet against Jennings this week. 5-8 receptions, 75-100 receiving yards and 1 touchdown. 3. Roddy White - Atl = GB Tough matchup for the Falcons offense this week, but with a league leading 79 receptions to go along with an average of 101 receiving yards per game so far this season, the potential is always there for White to put up stats. Add in a QB in Matt Ryan who looks to White a lot throughout the course of the game, and Roddy White is an every week must start for fantasy football teams no matter the matchup. 4. Dwayne Bowe - KC = @Sea Having become one of the best WRs in the NFL this season, including a league best 11 touchdown receptions, Bowe faces a weak Seattle secondary that Matt Cassel could easily capitalize on. Bowe is a great bet to grab another touchdown reception in this game, and anything between 50-100 receiving yards is also very likely. 5. Reggie Wayne - Ind = SD When a pro-bowl QB averages 40 plus passing attempts per game, the odds of a pro-bowl WR catching at least 5 of those attempts is pretty high. Averaging 7 receptions and 86 receiving yards per game this season, fantasy football teams simply should not be down on Wayne. Especially since there is little competition for receptions in the Colts offense right now. Simply put, Wayne is a must start on fantasy football teams this week, even against a tough Chargers pass defense. 6. Mike Wallace - Pit = @Buf Facing a Buffalo defense that has already allowed 20 passing touchdowns so far this season, should be plenty reason for fantasy football teams to start Wallace this week. However when you add in the fact that Wallace has tallied an incredible 16 receptions, 362 receiving yards and 4 touchdowns over the last 3 weeks, including at least 100 receiving yards in each of those weeks, Wallace has turned into a must start for fantasy football teams this week. 7. Andre Johnson - Hou = Ten While Johnson offers an incredible amount of potential on a weekly basis, his boom or bust stats from week to week are definitely annoying for fantasy football teams. Luckily a matchup against the Titans this week could result in a boom game, but with only 4 touchdown receptions so far this season and a struggling Matt Schaub leading the passing attack, it's hard to know exactly what you can expect from Johnson right now. 8. Marques Colston - NO = @Dal While many fantasy football teams are still second guessing whether or not to start Colston after his rough start to the season, the truth is that Colston has now tallied an average of 8 receptions and 91 receiving yards per game over the last four weeks, to go along with 4 touchdown. A matchup against a struggling Dallas pass defense likely will not slow down Colston this week. Anything around 5-10 receptions for 75-100 receiving yards and 1 touchdown is possible for Colston in this game. 9. Mario Manningham - NYG = Jac With Hakeem Nicks out, Manningham is the clear #1 WR for the Giants. Combine in a great matchup this week for the Giants passing attack, and Manningham could easily tally top 10 WR stats this week. 10. Brandon Lloyd - Den = StL Offering consistency and the potential for greatness during any given week, Lloyd is one WR who always offers boom potential for fantasy football teams. A matchup at home against the Rams should not change anything this week. 11. Santonio Holmes - NYJ = Cin While it is already week 12, it is important for fantasy football teams to recognize that the huge stats that Holmes put up last week was in only his 6th game of the season, and only his 6th game with Mark Sanchez as his QB. Not bad huh. With chemistry building each week between Holmes and Sanchez, this could be a lethal combination for fantasy football teams down the stretch during the playoffs. 12. Larry Fitzgerald - Ari = SF While the offense in Arizona is not pretty, the reality for fantasy football teams is that the Derek Anderson to Larry Fitzgerald connection is healthy. Posting another touchdown in last weeks game to go along with 6 receptions for 90 receiving yards, fantasy football teams cannot complain too much. Similar stats could be in store for Fitzgerald this week as well. 13. DeSean Jackson - Phi = @Chi Tough matchup against a solid Bears defense could lead to problems for Michael Vick and the Eagles passing game. 14. Vincent Jackson - SD = @Ind Back from suspension, and a good matchup to boot. Add in an injured Antonio Gates, Patrick Crayton, and Malcom Floyd dealing with a hamstring injury, and Jackson should be thrown right into the fire this week. It would not be surprising to see Jackson lead the team in receptions and receiving yards in this game. 50-100 receiving yards and 1 touchdown is definitely possible. 15. Anquan Boldin - Bal = TB Nice matchup for Flacco and the Ravens passing attack, but this could be the game that the Ravens really try to establish their running game before the cold weather sets in for good. 16. Steve Johnson - Buf = Pit Seemingly one of the premiere boom or bust fantasy football WRs so far this season, Johnson could be huge against a weak Steelers pass defense, or he could be nearly non-existent in the offense if Ryan Fitzpatrick cannot get enough time in the pocket to throw the ball. 17. Nate Burleson - Det = NE / SLEEPER - SPOT STARTER Finally healthy and teaming up alongside Calvin Johnson, Burleson has essentially had his way against opposing secondary's over the past few weeks. A matchup against the struggling Patriots defense this week should be no different. 100 receiving yards and 1 touchdown is possible. 18. Miles Austin - Dal = NO Posting just 2 receptions for 7 yards in last weeks game against the Detroit Lions was ridiculous, but having both of those receptions go for touchdowns was even more ridiculous. With three straight games of tallying just 2 receptions in each of those games, it is hard to rely on Austin right now in fantasy football starting lineups. 19. Percy Harvin - Min = @Was As the Vikings offense has struggled, Harvin's fantasy football value has dwindled lately. However a susceptible Redskins pass defense definitely gives some hope for Harvin owners this week. Add in a likely angry Brett Favre and a new coach, and the Vikings offense could be revitalized this week. 20. Wes Welker - NE = @Det Finally posted a touchdown in last weeks game, but those are far and few in between for Welker. Still on the upside, Welker was involved a lot more in the Patriots offense last week, so a Thanksgiving game against Detroit definitely gives him some solid scoring potential for fantasy football teams. 21. Dez Bryant - Dal = NO Aside from the touchdown reception, Bryant was extremely quite in last weeks game. With a matchup against a stingy Saints pass defense in store for this week, another low stat output is possible from Bryant this week. However as a top red zone target for the Cowboys right now, Bryant is seemingly always a threat to score. 22. Jeremy Maclin - Phi = @Chi Tough matchup for the Eagles pass offense, and Maclin could easily suffer if Vick decides to run a lot in this game against the Bears likely heavy pass rush. 23. Terrell Owens - Cin = @NYJ It looks like Darrell Revis will cover Owens in this game, so fantasy teams will need to consider this if they have other boom WR options to chance starting over Owens this week. 24. Danny Woodhead - NE = @Det Woodhead is just simply a reliable stats producer right now in fantasy football lineups. 25. Malcom Floyd - SD = @Ind / injury ? A solid comeback from injury in last weeks game, and now with Vincent Jackson likely on the field this week, Floyd could be freed up in the secondary for a good chunk of receptions in this game. 26. Hines Ward - Pit = @Buf Great matchup, but Ward has been non-existent in the Steelers passing attack over the past three weeks. 27. Santana Moss - Was = Min 28. Sidney Rice - Min = @Was 29. Chad Ochocinco - Cin = @NYJ 30. Johnny Knox - Chi = Phi 31. Mike Williams - TB = @Bal 32. Deion Branch - NE = @Det / SLEEPER - SPOT STARTER 33. Jabar Gaffney - Den = StL / SLEEPER - SPOT STARTER 34. Michael Crabtree - SF = @Ari 35. Derek Hagan - NYG = Jac / SLEEPER - SPOT STARTER 36. Donald Driver - GB = @Atl 37. Robert Meachem - NO = @Dal / SLEEPER - SPOT STARTER 38. Randy Moss - Ten = @Hou Great matchup for any passing offense against the Texans defense right now, but with QB questions for the Titans, Moss could once again be invisible on offense. Boom/Bust potential as usual for Moss this week. 39. Mike Williams - Sea = KC / injury ? - out - will not play 40. Lance Moore - NO = @Dal 41. Braylon Edwards - NYJ = Cin 42. Steve Breaston - Ari = SF 43. Blair White - Ind = SD 44. Mike Thomas - Jac = @NYG 45. Pierre Garcon - Ind = SD 46. Danny Amendola - StL = @Den 47. James Jones - GB = @Atl / SLEEPER - SPOT STARTER 48. Derrick Mason - Bal = TB 49. Mohamed Massaquoi - Cle = Car 50. Steve Smith - Car = @Cle 51. Kevin Walter - Hou = Ten 52. Ben Obamanu - Sea = KC 53. Davone Bess - Mia = @Oak 54. Roy Williams - Dal = NO 55. Lee Evans - Buf = Pit 56. Jordan Shipley - Cin = @NYJ 57. Michael Jenkins - Atl = GB 58. Nate Washington - Ten = @Hou 59. Eddie Royal - Den = StL 60. Jordy Nelson - GB = @Atl 61. Brandon Marshall - Mia = @Oak / injury ? - out - will not play 62. Arrelious Benn - TB = @Bal 63. Anthony Armstrong - Was = Min 64. Jacoby Ford - Oak = Mia 65. TJ Houshmandzadeh - Bal = TB 66. David Gettis - Car = @Cle / DEEP SLEEPER - SPOT STARTER 67. Devin Hester - Chi = Phi 68. Justin Gage - Ten = @Hou 69. Laurent Robinson - StL = @Den 70. Louis Murphy - Oak = Mia / DEEP SLEEPER - SPOT STARTER 71. Jacoby Jones - Hou = Ten 72. Josh Morgan - SF = @Ari 73. Brandon Tate - NE = @Det 74. Seyi Arijotutu - SD = @Ind 75. Darrius Heyward-Bey - Oak = Mia 76. Chris Chambers - KC = @Sea 77. Devery Henderson - NO = @Dal 78. Brandon LaFell - Car = @Cle 79. Deon Butler - Sea = KC 80. Early Doucet - Ari = SF / injury ? 81. Bernard Berrian - Min = @Was 82. Jerricho Cotchery - NYJ = Cin / injury ? 83. Joshua Cribbs - Cle = Car / injury ? 84. Danario Alexander - StL = @Den / injury ? 85. Ted Ginn Jr - SF = @Ari 86. Earl Bennett - Chi = Phi 87. Julian Edelman - NE = @Det 88. Legedu Naanee - SD = @Ind 89. Chaz Schilens - Oak = Mia 90. Devin Aromashodu - Chi = Phi 91. Golden Tate - Sea = KC 92. Harry Douglas - Atl = GB 93. Stephen Williams - Ari = SF Mike Sims-Walker - Jac = @NYG / injury ? - unlikely to play Demaryius Thomas - Den = StL / injury ? - unlikely to play Austin Collie - Ind = SD / injury - out - will not play Patrick Crayton - SD = @Ind / injury - out - will not play Steve Smith - NYG = Jac / injury - out - will not play Kenny Britt - Ten = @Hou / injury - out - will not play 2. Hakeem Nicks - NYG = Jac - OUT - WILL NOT PLAY There is no reason not to like the matchup for Nicks this week, as he will be going up against a Jaguars secondary that has allowed 264 passing yards per game and 20 touchdowns so far this season. With a solid QB tossing him the ball, Nicks should be a safe play this week for fantasy football teams, as stats in the range of 5-10 receptions for 75-125 receiving yards and 1-2 touchdowns is possible. |
